In spite of our grumbling and doubting, God faithfully
provides what we need. God’s provisions rarely come in the form of huge miracles like manna falling from the sky. Instead, God often provides for His people, through His people. This is one of the roles of the church: to tend to the needs inside the church so that they may have the strength to tend to the needs outside the church.

Moses grows up caught between cultures, uncertain where he belongs. After a rash decision he flees to the wilderness of Midian where God begins forming him through obscurity, patience, and waiting long before his calling fully comes into focus.
As I have been approaching Father’s Day, I have been thinking about God the Father. How I am his child, how we all are children of God. How is it then that Jesus is called God’s only Son? Are we not children of God? Why does John in one of the most familiar New Testament passages, from John 3:16. Call Jesus his only Son? I want to explore the beauty of how we have become children of God.
