God’s people find themselves trapped in a season they did not choose and waiting for deliverance that has not yet arrived. Yet even in the silence and suffering, God is quietly preserving life and forming courage in ordinary women who refuse to surrender to fear.
Worship
Sunday June 7: “Helmet of Salvation & Sword of the Spirit” Ephesians 6:17–18; Hebrews 4:12–13
God renews our minds through the hope of salvation and equips us with His living and active Word. As we close the series, we’ll explore how what we believe shapes how we think, and how Scripture works in us and through us in everyday life. Rooted in Him, we are both formed by His truth and sent out to live it.
Sunday May 31: “Who We Are” Various Scriptures
This week we will look at several passages that help us to understand who we are. To be created in the image of God is a beautiful blessing full of great joy, but it is also a calling. Join us as we work through what it means: to be a steward, to be a servant, to be gracious, and to be hopeful.
Sunday May 24: “Shield Of Faith” Ephesians 6:16; Hebrews 11:1–12
Faith doesn’t remove life’s challenges, but it reshapes how we walk through them. When doubts, fears, and hardships come, faith becomes the way we trust God’s character and promises in real time. We will talk about how a growing, active faith can guard our hearts and help us remain rooted no matter what we face.
Sunday May 17: “Deepening Transcendence” Psalm 42
Learning to awaken the soul to lead and guide our deepening expression of faith and love.
Sunday May 10: “Gospel Of Peace” Ephesians 6:15; Romans 5:1–3
God doesn’t just offer peace as a feeling—He gives us a firm place to stand. Because of the gospel, we have peace with God, even in the midst of life’s challenges and uncertainties. We’ll discover how being rooted in that peace allows us to live with confidence and carry God’s peace into the world around us.
Sunday May 3: ” Breastplate of Righteousness ” Ephesians 6:14; Proverbs 4:20–27
What guards your heart ultimately shapes the direction of your life. Through Christ, we are given a new identity and invited into a new way of living that reflects His righteousness. We’ll look at how God protects and transforms us from the inside out, forming hearts that are steady and aligned with Him
Sunday April 26: “Belt Of Truth” Ephesians 6:14; John 31-35
In a world full of competing voices and shifting ideas, truth is what holds everything together. Jesus invites us not just to know the truth, but to remain in it and be shaped by it. We’ll explore how being rooted in God’s truth brings clarity, freedom, and stability to our everyday lives.
Sunday April 19: “Why Do We Need Roots?” Ephesians 6:10–13; 1 Peter 5:7–9
Life brings pressure, uncertainty, and challenges—but we’re not meant to face it alone or unprepared. Before we talk about the armor, we begin with the foundation: what it means to be rooted in God’s strength rather than our own, and why God gives us this armor for daily life. This will set the stage to talk about why deep roots are essential for a steady, resilient faith.
Sunday Easter April 5: “Expect The Unexpected ” Matthew 28:1-15
It’s three days later. The Jewish sabbath is not over, and Jesus’ followers go to prepare his body for burial. What follows is a series of history altering events including an earthquake, angels, and even politically motivated bribes. But what if our focus on Jesus dying for me, misses the breadth, the depth, and the impact of what all went down that first Easter Sunday?
Maundy/Thursday April 2: Luke 22:39-53 “Jesus Last Moments”
Jesus’ last time with his disciples reflects what has always been core to his ministry, and a picture of what was about to happen. Jesus is gracious, faithful, and the fulfillment of the Passover lamb that Jews faithfully celebrated year after year. And after many years, the wait is over, if they will see it.
Sunday March 29: “Why Do We Praise Him” Psalm 118:1-4, 19-29
On Palm Sunday the church marks this day where Jesus comes into Jerusalem with much joy, singing and fanfare. There are high hopes and expectations about who Jesus is and what it means. And yet, who Jesus really was, and what his central mission on earth is, were missed. We reflect today on Psalm 118 that recognizes that Jesus was the stone that others rejected, a foundation to faith that some passed on, or altogether rejected.
Sunday August 10: “The Heart of Worship” Mark 14:1-9
What is worship? I think this is an important question for us to ask and have a good understanding of as Christ followers. We often interchange the word worship with the word music and only associate it with a genre of music or the singing time in service. But what if it is much more than that? We will explore together what worship is, why we worship and what worship looks like.
